Skilled Visa: Skilled Migration to Australia

At ImmiAid ANZ, we are your go-to partner for securing a skilled visa. We provide expert help with a variety of skilled visa options.

The skilled stream of the migration program is designed to attract migrants who make a significant contribution to the australian economy, and fill positions where no australian workers are available. Skilled migrants have very high participation rates in the workforce, helping to stimulate economic growth, which results in more jobs.

The skilled stream also plays an important role in regional development through providing skills and labour which can’t be sourced locally, as well as encouraging investment and promoting local spending in regional areas.

How ImmiAid ANZ Helps

We guide you in selecting the right visa and ensure all necessary documentation is in order, maximizing your chances of success. If you’re unsure whether you meet the requirements or concerned about wasting money on a rejected application, our team of experts provides the peace of mind that you’re in capable hands.

Basic Requirements for Skilled Visa

  • Age: You must be under 45 years old at the time of application.
  • English Proficiency: You must demonstrate Competent English, with a minimum IELTS score of 6 or equivalent.
  • Qualifications: You need post-secondary qualifications (e.g., university or trade). In some cases, relevant work experience and training may be accepted. Your qualifications, skills, and work experience must be assessed by the relevant authority as suitable for your nominated occupation.
  • State/Territory Nomination: Depending on your visa subclass, a state or territory government nomination may be required. Each state has its own program with specific eligibility criteria.
  • Nominated Occupation: You must nominate an occupation that aligns with your qualifications and skills. The occupation must appear on the MLTSSL, STSOL, or ROL.
  • Skills Assessment: You must undergo a suitable skills assessment for your nominated occupation.
  • SkillSelect: Applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the SkillSelect system, meet the points test, and receive an invitation from the Department of Home Affairs.

If you can’t meet these requirements, a general skilled migration application may not be suitable, but other visa options, such as employer-sponsored visas, may be available. To find the best option for your situation, book a consultation with one of our experienced Migration Agents.

At ImmiAid ANZ, migrants applying for points-based skilled visas must submit an Expression of Interest via SkillSelect. Upon receiving an invitation, you can lodge your visa application. Choosing the right visa is crucial, considering your skills, qualifications, experience, and family setup. Our expert Migration Agents are here to guide you through the eligibility process with ease.
